My favourite present!

Hi!

Talk about presents -for me- is difficult because I don't like the materials objects. But, this present is
-for me- the best of all! My own guitar.
When I celebrated my 15th birthday, my best friend came to my house for be together. That day I was very happy, was a typical familiar day (for me, that friend is member of my family). When he arrived, he was carrying a big box and I was surprised for it! When he gave me the box, he said: "Open it, it's a present for you". I only had one way in that moment: Open the present, when I took a look about the contents, I couldn't believe it!
The contents was an acoustic guitar! In those times, I was member of a rock band and my role was the bassist (I knew only how to play bass, but no guitar), that present was for me the start of a new era for me!

I'm playing guitar since that day, and I never stopped my flair's development. My guitar survive many problems: chords broken, fall in earthquakes, etc. But I'm taking care of it every day (or I try to...).

Now, I know how play the guitar and how to compose music (rhythm, harmony and chords), until today I remember how was that moment in my life. My guitar represent a strong friendship, and the way that I took was the independent learning, in honor of the friendship.
That guitar have now 5 years old, and it has the essence of my friend.

My guitar is like this

Good Afternoon!
Today's topic is education, I'll take this and I'll centered at the contemporary educational system (in Chile, or countries that have a strong liberal politics).

In first place, we can find the access. The access's a big problem in these systems because it's limited, for access to the education, the family or tutors must have a base of some kinds of capital (like cultural, economic or social). My personal's interpretation is that the school or university (or any educational institution) brings the student a 'status', this status is -also- a kind of capital (the symbolic capital). The people in countries like Chile wants to study only for gain more and more capital.

Secondly, the primary education (schools). The problem that I see is the mentality of order, in this mentality there're roles which consist in domineering and dominated, the teachers are domineering and their actions are always centered to keep their students ordered and controled. This is a problem for me because the differences will come only in the professions (in function to the liberal economic system), and -in my opinion- the differences are important in childrens between 5-15 years old because they allow have a social vision of tolerance and respect (and this could eliminate the ideas of classism or any kind of social discrimination). For example, if there are a boy that wants study something not convencional, their classmate will not judge him. Also, I propose eliminate the schools that aren't mixed.

Finally, the last problem are the conception of power in education, in my opinion the power roles in education must disappear. If the power doesn't exist in education, so the participants of the educational system could take actions based on the opinion of all (my perception of democracy in the educational system).

Those are some of my ideas about education. I would like to read some judges or contributions.
It's all :)

Free topic: One Piece, my favourite animé (and the only one for me)

Hi!

Today's topic is very very funny for me because One Piece changes my life! before, I didn't like the anime, but a friend says to me: "Hey, you can't give opinions if you didn't see animes before", so I saw the anime. The anime relates the history of a band of pirates that travel around the world with the mision of get the "One Piece" (nobody knows what's this, but all the people thinks that's a treasure).

The anime's very funny because it has a lot of people that are important for the history, also has a lot of places (islands and countries) and each character is funny. But it also has drama and emotion because there are a lot of fights with powerful enemies and our hero-protagonist (called Luffy) must beat them for gain the freedom for the people that he likes (he's so charismatic and has a lot of friends).

The anime also has political messages because the principal enemies are the "World Government" and the "Marines" or "Badly Pirates". The "World Government" remembers to Foucault because their objective is control all the world and they have many secrets, are corrupt, abuse of their power, etc. The Marines is like a police institution that guard the sea and pursuit the pirates (because 'their freedom' is dangerous for the world's order). Finally, I think that the aparition of slaves and aristocrats is important for understand the develonment of the real history, because the message that Eichiro Oda wanna send to us (Oda's the creator and drawer) it's of eliminate the social privilege that makes differences between normal people (workers, profesionals, students, etc) and aristocrats (nobles, kings, emperors, etc). Also the aparition of a "Revolutionary Army" can explain this kind of messages.

It's all, I hope that you'll see this because is so funny and interesting!

How 'green' are you?

Hi again!

This topic is really relevant for our times because is too hard learn and apprehend about the care of the environment. In my opinion, the public policies that make the people take care of the environment are bad because the people must take care of the environment without a 'law punishment' (for example a penalty or a ban). There isn't a good 'green education' here in Chile, this situation could due to the neo-liberal ideologie that rules our nation.

In my case, I don't think that I'm a 'Green person'. I don't recycle any material like aluminium or carton things, neither be in some ecologyst organization. But I have points for me, for example I'm a 'biker' (usually I use bike, if not, I use colective transport), and I'm worry of the garbage, if I see trash in the floor, I'll go to pick up it and then throw it into a thrash can. Worthless the pollution is a social problem.

The last thing that I would like to mention is my offer of a solution (because the problem is that We aren't green). My propose is improve the educational system, is necessary a strong and cross-wise subject that teach the chilean children how They could take care of our planet (or environment). Also, another thing that I think, is that the audit in the enterprise is weak, so, the work of the 'green politicians' is the change in the "Regulation and Audit of the relation between Enterprises and Environment", specifically in the mining area, agriculture and livestock area, the forest conservation, etc.

Is all today, thanks for reading :)
